The BNI Referral Winners chapter in Dundas was awarded the Golden Horseshoe Chapter of the Year Award at the 8th Annual BNI Awards Gala on Thursday, November 2, 2006.

The criteria for the award is tabulated from September 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006 and includes best overall performance in chapter attendance, referrals exchanged per member per week and sustained chapter growth.

Honourable Mentions were also recognized in each of the individual requirements. Congratulations to BNI Eagles, Mississauga, in winning The Visibility Award for adding 7 new members. Congratulations to BNI Uptown Business Executives, Brampton, for winnng The Credibility Award for 95% attendance. Congratulations to BNI Silver Creek Business Builders, Georgetown, in winning The Profitability Award for averaging 1.2 referrals per member per week.

The awards gala was very well-attended with 185 members and guests enjoying the international food stations and DJ music throughout the evening.

Effective Monday December 18, BNI Golden Horseshoe Regional Offices will be at a new location at 3540 Commerce Court, Unit 3, Burlington, ON L7N 3L7.

The 1-866-340-8740 telephone number will remain the same, but the local telephone and fax numbers will change effective December 18. Once the numbers have been confirmed, they will be forwarded. As of December 18, when current telephone numbers are called, a number change advisory recording will activate advising callers as to the new number.

The first event recognizing newly created "International Networking Week" will take place on Tuesday, February 6, 2007.

This event, called "Better Networking for Business Success" brings together four outstanding communicators, from four excellent business networks, presenting a series of dynamic workshops from 7:15 am to 12:30 pm. The event will take place at the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.

International Networking Week is an initiative created by BNI Executive Directors in Australia. The goal of International Networking Week is to celebrate the key role that networking plays in the development and success of businesses across the world. The events created to recognize International Networking Week will bring together experts from key business networks in a forum that offers networking skills education for participants.

Simultaneous events will be held globally to celebrate International Networking Week. Twenty-six BNI host nations have made the committment to recognize International Networking Week in 2007.
