The First Quarter...

28 new Leadership Teams in the BNI Golden Horseshoe Region report in on the first 30 days.

All 28 BNI Chapters in the Golden Horseshoe Region have reported exceptional business results during the first quarter of their tenure - even in these challenging economic times!

(pictured right are members of BNI Leading Edge, Allen Wilder, Christine Manchisi, and Tim Thurgood.)

Leadership teams, chosen annually for the April 1 - March 30 term, consist of local business owners who want to exemplify Givers Gain, and attract new members and new business to their chapter and members.

So how do members know that BNI works?  BNI's proprietary tracking program "Show Me The Money", provides each member with an anonymous method for reporting closed business within their chapter, which is then totalled and announced to the group.

Tough times call for tough measures. BNI Golden Horseshoe Region members say their message is clear... "we refuse to participate in a recession".

Taking business to the next level with BNI

Last month, Financial Post columnist Rick Spence, wrote an article about how peer groups share ways to manage the recession.

We're thrilled! Not only was BNI, the organization profiled, but Executive Director, Christel Wintels was quoted in the article.

Meet the Ambassador
 BNI Envoys speak ...

Marc Lachance
M.E. Lachance & Associates Ltd.

Known as roving representatives, BNI Golden Horseshoe Region's Ambassadors visit chapters throughout the region on a regular basis.

The Ambassador's role is to share goodwill, guidance, and good news happenings in other chapters across the region. This month, meet Marc Lachance, Ambassador for BNI Corporate Chapters.

Marc accepted the Ambassador role in 2008 and says, "managing a business by referral is a learning experience. Being a BNI Ambassador provides me with the opportunity to see what Corporate Chapters do - what works and what doesn't and how I can help."

As a business process consultant, Marc specializes in helping businesses get more value from their software purchases. Companies buy software to improve their business - but that often doesn't happen. Marc shows them how they can achieve their goals by planning for success.

What does Marc like best about BNI?  "BNI is an organization where constant learning is possible. We get into business because of the capabilities that we have. For most of us though, marketing is not our specialty, but it is critical to our success. BNI allows us to develop relationshps and learn more effective ways to market ourselves."  Bravo Marc and thank you!
